The amount of the Wayne Community College Foundation budget was incorrectly announced at the recent kick-off event for the scholarship fundraiser. The $475,000 figure quoted by the board chairman as being the Foundation budget is actually the goal for this year's drive, said Jack Kannan, executive director of the Foundation.
A headline in Tuesday's News-Argus incorrectly stated that the Optimist Club of Goldsboro's Computers4Kids program provided free computers. Available to low-income families, the computers are provided at a low cost of between $40 and $60.
