The Wayne-Duplin Business and Professional Women's Association and its Foundation announce that the National Business Women's Week will be held Oct. 21-25.
The organization offers communities, companies and organizations an opportunity to celebrate the contributions of working women and companies that have made strides toward improving working women's lives in their communities.
In recognition and celebration of women in the workplace, the Wayne-Duplin organization, in partnership with the Mount Olive College Career Development Office, will be sponsoring "Women-to-Women, Women-For-Women, An Encounter in Celebration of National Business Women's Week 2013" on Oct. 4 from 4-6:30 p.m. in the Hennessee Room of the Murphy Center at Mount Olive College.
The event is an opportunity for members of the community to meet, communicate and celebrate women in business. Local businesses will be on hand to share their information as well as a panel discussion covering important topics of legislation, workplace issues and resources and opportunities.
Vendor applications can be found at the club's website at www.wayne-duplinbpw.com.
The Wayne-Duplin BPW meets the first Thursday of every month.
