A registered sex offender and another man will face charges in connection with an incident involving a 14-year-old girl.
Joseph Carl Thomas, 32, of 603 E. Walnut St., where the event allegedly took place, was charged with indecent liberties with a minor and held under a $45,000 secured bond.
Daryl Lynwood Locklear, 31, was charged with one count of statutory rape of a person 13-, 14-, or 15-years old by a defendant at least six years older than the victim.
He was placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $500,000 secured bond, according to the Goldsboro Police Department.
Locklear is a registered sex offender whose address was listed as "streets of Goldsboro."
Goldsboro police arrested the men Saturday after they were discovered in bed with the teenager. The victim said the sexual encounter with the two men was consensual, according to the police report.
Details of the incident were released Monday.
Patrol officers were called to 603 E. Walnut St. just after midnight Saturday morning, and found the victim running down the street with her mother chasing her.
The mother told the officers that she and the child's grandmother had just found the girl in bed with two adult men.
Locklear and Thomas were still inside the residence and were detained.
Both men had first appearances Monday in Wayne County Court.
