Man shot after dispute over card game

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting on Durham Lake Road early Saturday.
Yakima Dwain Battle, 20, of 124 S. Running Deer Road was shot once in the buttocks and suffered a graze wound to his left arm. He was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Sgt. Patrick Hux said that Battle was in the process of leaving the scene in a vehicle driven by friends when deputies arrived at 765 Durham Lake Road. He was shot in a dispute that started over a card game at what Hux called a "party house."
Hux said no charges have been filed but that the investigation is continuing.
