The Wayne County Sheriff's Office has arrested and charged a 31-year-old Dudley man for a second-degree sexual assault that occurred on April 14.
David Escobar Herrera, of 291 Woodland Church Road, was placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $100,000 secured bond Thursday.
Deputies responded to his residence the night of the incident and found a female victim lying unconscious and nude on the bathroom floor.
She was immediately transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital's emergency room for treatment.
Detective Sgt. Larry Mitchell discovered through the course of his investigation that Herrera assaulted the victim while she was unconscious.
