Twelve to be in Mister and Miss WSE Scholarship Pageant

Wayne School of Engineering will host its second annual Mister and Miss WSE Scholarship Pageant this week, with 12 students participating.
The event will be held Friday at 6 p.m. in the Goldsboro High School auditorium. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Proceeds will go to the scholarships fund. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the school and will be sold at the door.
Cost for ages 6-11 is $3 in advance and $4 at the door; ages 12 and up are $6 in advance and $8 at the door. Admission includes light hors d'oeuvres, which will be served during intermission.
Contestants this year, competing for a college scholarship, are:
*Shiana Batts, daughter of Rosa and Jeffrey Batts, a senior
*Tryston Best, son of Leisha and Clifford Best, sophomore
*Katura Moore, daughter of Machelle and Obadiah Moore, junior
*Gerrell Bynum, son of Shanik Collie and Gerrod Bynum, senior
*Nacoya Croom, daughter of Sonya Croom and Malcolm Williams, seinor
*Shawn Ham, son of Belinda and Lindsey Ham, senior
*Keith Jones, son of Shamane and Malcolm Jones, senior
*Angela Morton, daughter of Racquel Morton, sophomore
*Joshua Matias, son of Maria Diaz and Arelio Matias, junior
*Amanda Perez, daughter of Jonna and Luis Perez, sophomore
*Cymberlin Sasser, daughter of Shelvia Horne and Reggie Sasser, sophomore
*Jamal Moses, son of Evelene and Paul Perry, senior.
