Deadline nearing for Tickled Pickle Poetry entries

The deadline for student pickle poetry submissions is Friday for the N.C. Pickle Festival's Tickled Pickle Poetry Contest.
The contest is open to school-aged children from kindergarten through 12th grade. Students will compete in six different graded categories: kindergarten through second grade, third grade, fourth grade, fifth grade, middle school (grades six through eight) and high school (grades nine through 12).
Now in its third year, the Tickled Pickle Poetry had more than 130 entries from throughout Wayne County and beyond.
Judging will be held the week of March 18, and winners will be published in N.C. Pickle Festival publications, and on the festival website. All entries will be exhibited at the N.C. Pickle Festival on Saturday, April 27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
