More jet noise

Wayne County residents can expect to see more low-level flying -- and hear more jet noise and loudspeaker announcements -- for the next several days as members of the 4th Fighter Wing continue to prepare for their upcoming Operational Readiness Inspection.
Delays at the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base gates also should be expected for the duration of the airmen's latest Operational Readiness Exercise, which is set to conclude Thursday.
OREs and ORIs ensure F-15E Strike Eagle aviators and the airmen who keep them in the skies are prepared to support overseas contingency operations and effectively complete the mission of the 4th Fighter Wing: to provide airpower, whenever and wherever it is needed in defense of our nation.
