Four men charged in heists at hog, turkey farms

KENANSVILLE -- Four men have been arrested in connection with a string of break-ins and larcenies at hog and turkey farms in the Mount Olive, Faison and Warsaw areas of Duplin County.
Darren Gray Goodman, Dustin Lee Bowden, Christopher Chaz Outlaw and Nicholas Devon White have been charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny and felony possession of stolen goods.
Outlaw and Bowden were additionally charged with felony possession of a firearm by felon.
They are currently in the Duplin County Jail under secured bonds.
Between Dec. 16, 2012, and Jan. 23, the Duplin County Sheriff's Office received 17 reports of break-ins.
During the investigation, the Criminal Investigations Division developed the four men as suspects.
On Jan. 23, detectives, with the assistance of the Uniform Division, arrested the men.
Approximately $50,000 worth of property has been recovered.
The investigation is on-going and additional charges and suspects are expected.
