The family of 25-year-old Justin Travis Lancaster, murdered on Linen Lane just before 11 p.m. on Oct. 24, 2012, has decided to double the reward money for information leading to an arrest and conviction of his killer.

The family said Thursday they will match the $1,000 offered by Crime Stoppers, the anonymous tip line that pays cash for felony arrests.

Lancaster's body was found in the middle of the street with a gunshot wound. Deputies from the Wayne County Sheriff's Office located his car parked nearby, but very little else was discovered at the scene.

No suspects have been identified in the case, but officials with the Sheriff's office said that the investigation remains active.

Anyone with information regarding the murder of Justin Travis Lancaster is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 919-735-2255, or text tips to 919-222-4230.
