Five contestants to face off for Miss Goldsboro title

The Miss Goldsboro and Goldsboro Outstanding Teen pageants will be held Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. at the Paramount Theatre.

Five contestants will compete for the Miss Goldsboro crown. They are Armani Perry, 18-year-old freshman at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, vocalist; Casey Croom, 19-year-old sophomore at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, dancer; Beth Stovall, 19-year-old sophomore at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, vocalist; Alaina Ruggery, 17-year-old senior at Eastern Wayne High School, dancer; and Meredith Lindsay, 21-year-old junior at North Carolina State University, vocalist.

The winner will compete in the 2013 Miss North Carolina Pageant in June.

Contestants for Goldsboro Outstanding Teen are Sylina McKinney, Megan Ruggery, Emma Carter, Caitlyn Perry, Caroline Gainey and Caroline Hodges. They will compete in the North Carolina Outstanding Teen pageant in June.

Fourteen local girls between the ages of 6 and 12 will be paired up with contestants as part of the Miss North Carolina Leadership Mentoring Program. They will be part of the rehearsals and production numbers. They are Ariana Anderson, Jillian Pearce, Courtney Williams, Hayden Pearson, Ardin Gooding, Faron Gurley, Camdyn Meyers, Hayley McPhail, Laney Hales, Emma Smith, Catherine Eubanks, Samantha Eubanks, Brianna Smith and Lauren Deering.
