Local, state and federal offices, along with banks and the post office, will be closed Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Wayne Community College and Wayne County Public Schools are closed, too.
Wayne County offices, the landfill and convenience sites will be closed as will town offices in Goldsboro, Mount Olive, Fremont, Eureka and Seven Springs.
In Goldsboro, all sanitation services for Monday will be rescheduled for Wednesday.
The closing will not affect garbage pickup in Mount Olive. However, the town's recyclables center will be closed.
In Fremont, garbage will be picked up on Tuesday instead of Monday.
Town offices in Walnut Creek and Pikeville will be open.
