Vehicle break-in
In the 1700 block of Maple Street, Candace Alston, 26, reported to Goldsboro police someone broke the front passenger window of a vehicle and stole a pocketbook container a driver's license and other personal papers.
Identity stolen
Ralph Thomas, 70, of Olivia Lane filed a report with Goldsboro police that someone used his identification to cash $450 worth of checks.
Shoplifting at Walmart
At Walmart on North Spence Avenue, Kristin Jones reported to Goldsboro police the theft of $6,258 worth of merchandise, including three iPod touch devices and other stereo equipment and game systems. A woman reportedly bagged several items, then left the store with two children and the shopping cart, while the man in the party continuing putting items on the counter. He left without paying.
Electronics taken from school
Sharon Nethercutt of Eastern Wayne Middle School reported to Goldsboro police the theft of a laptop and data projector, worth $1,366, from a classroom.
Shoplifting at Belk
At Belk, Floyd Andrews told Goldsboro police an unknown man took $366 worth of clothes without paying.
Hubcaps stolen
At George Foss Auto Sales, four hubcaps, worth $350, were removed from a Cadillac on the lot, according to a Goldsboro police report
A/C damaged
According to Goldsboro police report, at Awards Gallery on Ash Street, $1,350 worth of damage was done after someone reportedly attempted to remove copper, creating a freon leak.
Home break-in
According to Goldsboro police report, a $400 laptop computer was reported stolen from a property on the 200 block of Harding Drive by Caroline White Hicks, who said the intruder also caused $300 worth of damage to a back door. She said drawers in the home had also been ransacked.
Items stolen at bakery
At Bread of Heaven Bakery on Ash Street, Sandra Kaye Williams reported to Goldsboro police the theft of a $170 grill and a $100 gas cooker.
Employee theft at T.J. Maxx
James Washington of T.J. Maxx filed a complaint against an employee who allegedly made a fraudulent transaction in the amount of $192. She reportedly stole several items, returned them for cash and used the money to pay for things on layaway, according to Goldsboro police.
