Shooting suspects face new charges

Additional charges have been filed against the two men Goldsboro police allege opened fire on a group of people in the 800 block of Slocumb Street Saturday.
Arraqib Ahad Hardy, 20, 615 S. Claiborne St., and Miguel Valdez Phillips, 24, 1002 E. Elm St., were each charged with two counts of firing into an occupied dwelling and possession of a controlled substance on jail premises.
Investigators said earlier this week they could not yet say why the two suspects started shooting about 1:05 Saturday afternoon.
The shooting was reported by Douglas Eric Stuckey Jr., 36, who said he heard gun shots outside his home.
Nobody was injured in the shooting.
The pair had already been charged with assault with a deadly weapon, firing into occupied dwelling and damage to property
Now that new charges have been filed, Hardy's secured bond increased to $810,000 and Phillips' now stands at $815,000.
