The lake at Cliffs of the Neuse State Park is still open. Days and hours are Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Swimming and boating are allowed during these hours.
The lake will remain open through September.
But the lake may close early if attendance is too low, said park ranger Candace Rose.
Swimming fees are $5 for adults 13 and older, $4 for children 3 through 12 and free for children 3 and younger.
The lake has canoe, kayak and paddleboat rentals for $5 an hour. Paddleboats will seat up to four people, canoes two people and kayaks one person. Boat rentals may be paid for with cash and debit cards.
There is also a concession stand at the lake with drinks, snacks and ice cream. It accepts cash only.
