Missing person
A 16-year-old Eastern Wayne High School student has not been seen in two days. Kennedy Fitzgerald Mclaurin was last seen at home Sunday at about 11 a.m. According to a Goldsboro police report, someone at the school has been bragging that, after a fight with Mclaurin, he and another person abducted him. Mclaurin is described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing 135 pounds. He has black hair brown eyes and dark and a tattoo on his left hand of the letter "K."
Robbed with own gun
Brandon Matthew Hatch, 18, 126 Gainey Drive, was approached Saturday by an unknown black man, and asked for a ride. Hatch obliged, and when he dropped the subject off, at either Wood Road or Woodfield Road, the man grabbed one of Hatch's firearms that were in the back seat. Pointing the .22 caliber revolver at Hatch's chest, the man told him he was taking the rest of the weapons, a 12-gauge shotgun and a Ruger 9-mm, and he fled on foot, according to a Wayne County Sheriff's Office report.
Firing into occupied vehicle
A woman working for Piedmont Recovery, out of LaGrange, was parked in the 800 block of Audubon Avenue Monday. While searching her laptop computer for information on a car she was attempting to recover, Tammy Mokus heard gunfire erupt next to her and she crouched down inside the vehicle. In the rearview mirror, according to a Goldsboro police report, she saw several black men running away. Mokus' Chevy Malibu had $700 worth of bullet hole damage in the front passenger door.
Target store hit
The Target located at 1204 Sunburst Drive was broken into and robbed today, just after 3 a.m. A window was broken and a glass case shattered when thieves broke in to steal Apple iPods and iPads. The damage and stolen items resulted in an estimated loss of $3,400, according to Goldsboro police.
