Saturday shooting death being investigated

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is investigating an apparent murder today after responding to a call of shots fired at 2 a.m. Saturday at 130 White Dogwood Lane. The victim, identified as Uber Ortiz Salas, 23, of the residence, was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Officials say they have a person of interest who is being sought for questioning.
