Suspicious fire

Goldsboro police and firefighters were dispatched Monday to a vehicle fire at 807 Isler St. The fire started after 6 a.m. in front of the home of Vanessa Ann Pulley, 36.

Pulley's 2002 Chevy Cavalier appears to have been set ablaze by a known suspect. The tires of a second Cavalier, belonging to James Marshall Vogt, 67, 200 block Brookwood Drive, also suffered damage to both tires on the vehicle's right side. The total damage was valued at more than $2,200.

Breaking and entering

Unknown suspects entered the home of Kashara Jaymi Hardin, 20, 900 block Hugh Street, while she was out of town. Hardin's mother discovered the break-in after friends called her to tell her someone had stolen her belongings.

Thieves removed electronics and an air conditioning unit, as well as a toddler day bed, training potty and a George Foreman grill.
