Wayne County Public Schools officials have announced a time change at two schools and a change in the traffic pattern at another.
Due to the lack of bus drivers in the Spring Creek district, officials were forced to tier the routes so that buses could be shared between schools there. The move creates new opening and closing times.
Spring Creek High will now operate on a schedule of 7:45 a.m. until 2:45 p.m., and Spring Creek Elementary will start at 8:30 a.m. and dismiss at 3:45 p.m.
Meanwhile, ongoing construction at Eastern Wayne Middle School continues and the new turn lane into the school from Central Heights Road has not been completed. Parents dropping off or picking up students are asked to be patient and allow additional time and to anticipate traffic delays.
The new turn lane is expected to be finished later this year, an official said.
