Wayne Community College offering business seminars in fall

The Wayne Business and Industry Center has set a schedule of 12 free seminars for this fall designed to prepare the business person to meet the challenges facing small businesses.

Seminars include:

*How To Write, Implement and Execute a Business Plan, Aug. 14;

*How To Raise Your Credit Score in 60 Days, Aug. 16;

*The Art of Negotiating, Aug. 21;

*Power of Networking, Aug. 28;

*QuickBooksª for Small Businesses, Aug. 29;

*Power of E-mail Marketing, Sept. 6;

*N.C. Taxes for Small Business, Sept. 11;

*Entrepreneur Opportunities, Oct. 2;

*Marketing in a Recession, Nov. 6;

*Cash Flow 101, Nov. 13;

*How To Do Business with the Federal Government, Nov. 20; and

*Alternative Lender Conference, Dec. 6.

Except for Quickbooks, the seminars will be held from 6-9 p.m. in Room 101 in the Walnut Building at Wayne Community College, with the exception of Quickbooks, which will be offered from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and How to Do Business with the Federal Government, which will run from 10 a.m. until noon.

All of the seminars are free.

To pre-register, call (919) 739-6940 or visit www.ncsbc.net, click on "Contact Your Local SBC," select "Wayne County," choose the seminar, and click on "Register." Complete and bring to the seminar the registration form found under the "Small Business Center" heading at www.wayneworksnc.com.
