Kidnapping, assault
Roxanne Faison, 300 block Level Street, and Kimberly Jones, 500 block Linnen Lane were attacked at Ms. Faison's home after 8 p.m.. Friday. Faison and Jones reported to Goldsboro police that several females drove to the victims home and attempted to force Jones into the vehicle. Faison interceded and was pulled into the vehicle instead. The vehicle drove off with the victim inside the car and drove around for several minutes, Faison being assaulted all the while. The victim was dropped off a few blocks away. Both Faison and Jones reported being assaulted, though only Faison was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment. The suspects, when captured, will be charged with two counts of assault inflicting serious injury, and kidnapping.
Shooting
For reasons that remain unknown, Mitchell Bristol, 34, 400 block Creech Street, found himself taking fire from an unknown shooter just before 4:30 a.m. today. Bristol reported to police that his vehicle was struck by gunfire as unknown suspects shot at him from the front yard of 818 Crawford street. Police are investigating the incident.
Property damage
Brenda Newkirk Hines, 1700 block Edgerton Street, found Sunday that her 1998 Mercury Tracer had been struck by a bullet. Hines told police that sometime between 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday her car had been shot by an unknown subject. After arriving home the night before she heard gunfire and opened her front door but did not see anyone. She did not report the two shots she heard fired until seeing the damage to her vehicle the next day.
Larceny of a motor vehicle
A dark gray Ford F-150 supercab pick-up truck was stolen from the home of Marion Ray Radford, of Princeton, Saturday. After 6 a.m. Sunday morning the victim's wife noticed the vehicle drive down the street. Radford told her he had not lent the vehicle to anyone and immediately reported the theft to the Sheriff's Office. Also stolen were two firearms concealed inside the vehicle.
Child abuse
Linda Sue Penny, 147 Wharton Lane, was charged with child abuse Saturday after becoming intoxicated and passing out while a 7-year-old child was in her charge. The child, found unattended in the street was not injured. According to a report filed by the Sheriff's Office, Penny was intoxicated and verbally abusive to deputies and others involved in the incident.
Armed robbery
An airman was robbed at gunpoint in the early morning hours Sunday. Adam Sinclair Daniels, of Dudley, was confronted as he neared the front door of his home shortly after 2 a.m. The unknown suspect pointed what Daniels believed was a gun to the back of his head and demanded the victim's valuables. A wallet containing $100 was stolen.
Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle
A truck containing multiple valuables was broken into Sunday. William Edwards Uzzell III, 46, 100 block East April Lane, told Sheriff's Deputies Sunday that a 32-inch flat screen TV, a $4,000 gold chain, four check books and a Coach purse were taken were removed from his vehicle by an unknown suspect. The truck was parked outside the victim's residence, unlocked. Although the owner and others were home at the time, they did not hear anything.
D.O.A.
A family member found Johnnie Stokes, 85, 511 E. Elm St., unresponsive Sunday morning and called police. Stokes was last seen alive shortly after midnight watching television. The victims body was transported to Rhodes Funeral Home.
