The occupational therapy department at Wayne Memorial Hospital will try their hand at something different -- a clinic to help children improve their handwriting.
"Scribblez Handwriting Summer Camp" will be held in two sessions in the coming weeks. Instead of the typical pen and paper, staff will use paints, sand and shaving cream to incorporate fun activities to work on printing and cursive writing skills.
Camps will be held at the hospital Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9-11 a.m. The June 18-27 session will be for ages 4-12, focusing on printing, while the July 16-27 sessions will be for ages 8-12 and center on cursive writing.
Cost is $50.
To register, call Katina Holland or Diana Soles at 919-587-4167 or email scribblez@waynehealth.org.
