Lawmen seize marijuana plants

City and county lawmen teamed up last week to seize a crop of marijuana plants off Big Daddy's Road.
Members of the Wayne County Sheriff's Department Aviation Unit, Goldsboro/Wayne County Drug Squad and the ACE team, seized nine plants ranging in height from 2 to 5 feet tall -- and worth more than $22,000 on the street -- from a wooded area in the 1700 block of Big Daddy's Road.
