Nicholas Worrell, coordinator of the Male Involvement Program at WAGES, is looking for a few good men.

It's time to recognize those in the community who have made a difference in the lives of others, and what better time to do so than on the heels of Father's Day, he said.

"Dads, pastors, janitors, teachers, coaches, cousins, uncles, we want to have men honoring men," he said.

An awards ceremony to honor outstanding men who have been an example to others is being planned for Friday, June 29, at 7 p.m. at Herman Park Center. Deadline for nominations is Friday, June 22.

"We want this to be something that's a major event," he said.

Seating for the dinner and awards ceremony will be limited to 75 people, Worrell said.
