B&Es and larcenies
*Hosea Daniels of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, located at 601 W. Elm St., reported the theft of tools, valued at $1,000, and a tool box from the property that occurred between Tuesday and Wednesday. Copper tubing, valued at $100, was also cut from an air conditioner and stolen during the larceny.
*James Matthis reported that a set of rims, valued at $1,000, was stolen from a Oldsmobile Cutlass and a different set of rims were put on the wheels sometime between April 27 and Tuesday. The vehicle's catalytic converter was taken, as well those from two other vehicles at 206 Atlantic Avenue. The total of the stolen goods was listed at $1,500.
*J.C. Raynor reported that someone stole his Visa debit card and made purchases at three locations, draining more than $500 from his account. Raynor reported the card was in a case that also contained his military I.D. and a note with the debit account's pin number written on it.
*Andrew Wingenroth reported that he was defrauded out of $1,850 while attempting to sell his motorcycle on the website Craigslist. During the fraudulent transaction, communication was made through emails and Google messaging. A transaction was made through Western Union.
*Melvin Hardy of High-Tech Car Wash, 1801 N. William St., reported the larceny of four metal money boxes, valued at $400, from the business on Wednesday. During the incident, someone jumped over a fence on the property then forced open four coin-operated machines. An undetermined amount of money, in the form of quarters, was removed.
*Rashonda Bradley reported a burglary at her home in the 1100 block of Stevens St. that occurred early Thursday morning. A glass storm-door and a wooden door were forced open to gain entry. During the break-in, a $300 PlayStation 3, a $200 47-inch flat-screen TV and a $300 XBOX 360 were stolen. A home alarm notified authorities who responded to the property.
*Robert Alphin reported the theft of an air conditioner coil, valued at $1,500, from a home in the 100 block of Buttercup Lane that occurred between April 22 and Wednesday.
*Jean Cormier III reported a break-in at his home in the 600 block of Outlaw Road in Dudley that occurred Tuesday or Wednesday. A $370 TV, a $250 PlayStation 3 and two video games were stolen during the incident. A back door was pried open to gain entry.
*Jose Acevedo reported the theft of a $500 Murray go-cart from his home in the 100 block of Hummingbird Lane that occurred Wednesday. The vehicle was taken from the front yard of the residence.
*Mary Sears reported the larceny of a $2,800 73-inch TV, a $3,500 82-ich TV and a $2,500 Sony stereo system from a home in the 100 block of Oakridge Drive in Dudley. The theft occurred between April 27 and Wednesday. Mrs. Sears was in the process of moving when the property was stolen.
