Michael Everett, the lead instructor for Wayne Community College's Simulation and Game Development program, will speak Thursday at the East Coast Game Conference at Raleigh Convention Center.

He was selected to serve on a panel titled "Developers Needed ... In the Classroom" during the video game professionals' conference in Raleigh. His presentation, to be made in conjunction with Red Storm Entertainment's Executive Vice President/Managing Director Steve Reid, encourages game development professionals to share skills and experiences while also increasing your resume by guest lecturing, advising or teaching at a specialty school, college or university.

A Goldsboro resident, Everett received undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering and is currently working toward a master's degree in Computer Networking with a Network Software Technical Concentration, all from N.C. State University. His company, ITSS Inc., was founded in 2003 to provide information technology services, but has since added video game event management and equipment leasing services. He was a founding member of the N.C. Advanced Learning Technology Association and co-founded the Carolina Games Summit at Wayne Community College in 2006, going on to expose more than 9,000 attendees to both informational sessions on game development and video game tournaments.
