On top of the Krispy Kreme roof, Goldsboro Police Department Investigator Dwayne Bevell holds the microphone so his son Jaden, 7, can welcome people to the Cop-on-Top event. Cop-on-Top is a weekend fundraiser in which Bevell stays on top of the doughnut shop to raise money and awareness for the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. Bevell and his fellow police officers and Special Olympics athletes hope to raise over $3,000 from the event, which is continuing today.
