Wayne County will sponsor rabies clinics Saturday, March 31, from 8:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Grantham Elementary School and from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Southern Wayne High School.

Cost is $10 per animal.

North Carolina law requires dogs and cats over 4 months old to be vaccinated against rabies. Any animal receiving its first rabies vaccine is expected to have another dose a year later and every three years thereafter.

Proof of prior rabies vaccination is required to receive a three-year vaccination. If proof is not provided, a one-year vaccination will be administered.
