Goldsboro to waive fees for furniture, appliances April 4

The Sanitation Division of Goldsboro's Public Works Department will waive charges associated with the collection of discarded furniture, appliances, hot water heaters, mattresses, box springs, and other bulky items each Wednesday during the month of April.
City of Goldsboro residents may schedule a free pick-up by contacting the Sanitation Division at 734-8674. Scheduled pickup days are April 4, April 13, April 18 and April 25.
Items that are prohibited and will not be picked up include dirt, turf, rocks, building materials, carpeting, wet paint, metal posts, gasoline or kerosene cans, lumber, brick, concrete, shingles, logs, tree stumps, automobile parts, animal waste and hazardous waste.
The free collection service is for Goldsboro residents only and does not apply to commercial properties.
