Donations are being sought to help a family that lost their home and almost all of their possessions in a house fire Feb. 21.

Major Clark and his wife and 2-year-old daughter are in need of donations of clothing, food, furniture and money.

The American Red Cross provided assistance to the family last week, but that help has expired and employees of the city of Goldsboro are seeking donations to help since Clark is an employee of the Public Works Department.

The family is in need of men's clothing: pants size 34 waist, shirt size extra large and shoes size 10; women's clothing: pants size 15/16, shirt size 14 and shoe size 7 1/2; and children's clothing: stretch pants only size 7, jacket size 8 and shoes size 9.

City officials say the family is looking for a place to live, furniture with which to furnish it, and food, along with any monetary donations people are willing to give.

Donated items can be taken to the paper storage room at City Hall, across from the mail room, or to the front office at the Public Works Department. Cash donations can be brought to the Public Works Department or to the Finance Department at City Hall.
