Another full-service restaurant is expected to open on North Berkeley Boulevard near Berkeley Mall as the Goldsboro Planning Commission will evaluate a site and building plan for a Longhorn Steakhouse at its Monday meeting.
The location of the proposed site, according to planning department staff, is an outparcel between Starbucks and Firestone Tires.
The site and building plans will be evaluated at the Planning Commission's meeting Monday in the City Council Chambers in Historic City Hall. A recommendation on the plans is expected at the City Council's Feb. 6 meeting.
The news comes as the former Sears Auto Center building a block away has been fully demolished to make way for an Olive Garden restaurant, which is expected to open Dec. 14.
