High-powered firearms, electronics taken in area break-ins
*Rance Swicord reported a break-in at his home in the 200 block of Brewington Drive in Dudley that occurred Wednesday.
The suspect(s) gained entry by prying open a side door. Once inside, the suspect(s) removed AR-15 and AK-47 assault rifles, a 12-gauge shotgun, a 50-caliber handgun, a laptop and a video recorder. The total value of the stolen property is listed at more than $4,500.
*Janice Whissenhunt reported the theft of an a/c unit from the Victorian Village complex, located at 2707 Royall Ave., on Wednesday. The building was vacant at the time of the theft, and when the unit was stolen is uncertain.
*Karla Arellano reported the theft of a 50-inch plasma TV, jewelry and a digital camera from her home in the 1100 block of Dollard Town Road that occurred on Wednesday. The home was left unsecured, and there was no forced entry. The value of the stolen goods was listed at $1,155.
