Students and teachers across Wayne County return to the classroom this week, after an extended holiday break. Four county schools will also hold Saturday classes as a make-up day.

Pathway Christian Academy starts up again on Monday, while St. Mary Catholic School students return on Tuesday.

Wayne County Public Schools will resume on Tuesday.

Wayne Country Day School, Faith Christian Academy and Wayne Christian School, will resume on Wednesday.

The exceptions for the county schools are Wayne School of Engineering and Wayne Early/Middle College High School, which resume Thursday.

Administrative offices for the county schools are also closed until Tuesday.

The district also scheduled Saturday as a make-up day at four schools, which were closed Aug. 30 due to power outages from Hurricane Irene. Wayne School of Engineering, Goldsboro High, Wayne Academy and Northeast Elementary will follow an early dismissal schedule for students and staff.
