A Goldsboro man is wanted on multiple charges, including attempted murder, after allegedly firing several shots into an occupied vehicle on a perimeter street of the Lincoln Homes housing community Wednesday afternoon.
Edquan Battle, 24, is believed to have fired into a red 1999 Ventura Chevrolet van driven by Andreana Faison, while she and a second occupant, a 51-year-old male, were in the 1100 block of Olivia Lane about 1:15 p.m.
No one was struck by a bullet during the incident, but Ms. Faison received treatment from Wayne County Emergency Medical Services and was later released.
Ms. Faison and Battle are acquaintances, Goldsboro police said, but did not elaborate on the extent of their relationship.
The red van driven by Faison had come to a stop near the intersection with East End Circle after striking a street sign and a stop sign.
Bullet holes were found in the driver's and passenger's sides of the windshield and the front bumper.
In addition to the attempted murder charge, police have secured warrants on Battle for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and shooting into an occupied vehicle.
Battle, also known as "Fat Man," police say, has a last known address on Creech Street.
Police did not say how Battle became a suspect.
