A Raleigh-based property developer has taken over the management of a Goldsboro shopping center.

Plaza Associates finalized the purchase of Five Points Plaza on U.S. 117 South last week for a reported $5.77 million.

Senior Property Manager Scott Miller said the company would look into marketing some of the property after the holidays.

"We think there's definitely some opportunities there, especially with the outparcels there in the center," he said.

Plaza owns 15 shopping centers in the region under differently named entities, including Mount Olive Centre at the corner of Highway 55 and U.S. 117 Business.

"We have a number of other properties in that area so we're very familiar with Goldsboro and the surrounding towns," he said.
