Home break-ins
*Sheniece Griffin reported a break-in at her home in the 200 block of Banks Avenue between Nov. 23 and Wednesday. Ms. Griffin said she returned from vacation to find her home broken into and the following items removed: two TVs, two game consoles, various video games, shoes, purses, jewelry, USAF-issued gas mask and other clothing. The total value of the stolen property was more than $10,000.
*Patrick Willis reported a break-in at his home in the 1300 block of South Harding Drive Wednesday morning. The suspect(s) entered the home by breaking through a back door. The stolen property included $1,800 worth of shoes, $750 worth of hats, a $240 PlayStation 3, a $300 laptop and a $300 TV.
A/C theft
William Murray reported the theft of a $2,000, 3-ton air-conditioning unit from his property in the 200 block of Oriole Drive in Dudley Wednesday. Murray told Wayne County Sheriff's Office deputies that the unit was brand new, had not been installed and was still sitting on a pallet when it was stolen.
