Four presentations will highlight the Goldsboro City Council's work session Monday evening at 5 p.m. before the council members review the agenda in advance of their 7 p.m. regular meeting in the Council Chambers.

The work session will be held in the City Hall Annex in room 206, where staff from the Fire Department, Downtown Goldsboro Development Corp., Planning Department and Parks and Recreation will address the members on topics.

The Fire Department's subject is slated to be a discussion on certification for emergency medical technicians and first responders while DGDC will center its address on the business incentive grant.

The Planning Department will discuss citizen appointments for the preparation of a comprehensive plan, while Parks and Recreation will discuss the department's name.

Presentations from Dillard Middle School and the Wayne County Health Department are scheduled for the regular meeting, when the council is expected to vote on its consent agenda in the form of a roll call vote.

The items on the consent agenda include setting the public hearings for three contiguous annexation requests and the appropriation of funds for the demolition of a building at 1706 N. William St.

An amendment of an agreement for water treatment plant improvements and an amendment of the Capital Project Fund Ordinance for water treatment plant improvements, as well as the monthly departmental reports, round out the rest of the agenda.
