Johnston Alzheimer's Walk Saturday

SMITHFIELD -- The inaugural Johnston County Walk to End Alzheimer's wil be held Saturday at the Smithfield Recreation Center and Aquatic Park.
The walk begins at 9 a.m. with registration beginning at 8 a.m. This is the first such event in the county and organizers are referring to it as the "Pioneer Walk."
The honorary chairperson is Rep. Renee Ellmers.

In-kind gifts and monetary donations will be used to inform the public, recruit champions for the cause, and promote advocacy. Donors may deduct contributions in accordance with the organization's 501(c)(3) status and Federal Tax Identification Number 13-3039601.
