Copper theft
A report was filed with Goldsboro police for the theft of copper components of an air conditioner from the Allstate Insurance Co. building at 1112 S. Ash St. The theft occurred between Sept. 15 and Sept. 16. The incident resulted in a $5,000 a/c unit being damaged beyond repair, while the suspect(s) stole $20 worth of copper tubing from the unit.
