KINSTON -- The CSS Neuse State Historic Site and the Governor Caswell Memorial will hold a special program on Saturday, focusing on "Military Through the Ages."
This will be a unique chance to look back at the many wars that have shaped our nation. There will be re-enactors portraying soldiers from the American Revolution through World War II. The event is free and open to the public. It will run from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Visitors will be invited to learn about uniforms, accessories, equipment, and weapons that soldiers carried with them during the wars represented. There will be demonstrations of some of the weapons to exemplify the differences from one time period to another.
The event is being held in conjunction with the "Wall that Heals," that will be going on at Emma Webb Park on Queen Street in Kinston.
