Armed robbery
A 19-year-old man reported to Goldsboro police that he was robbed of his backpack by three men armed with crowbars while in the parking lot of Piggly Wiggly on North Lionel Street around 2:40 a.m. Saturday.
The man reported to police that one of the suspects stated to him, "What's up young blood? What do you have in the bag? You got to come off the bag."
9/11 weekend results in rash of vehicle break-ins
Goldsboro police received a call around 7 a.m. Saturday concerning a number of vehicle break-ins in the 800 block of Carolina Street. An officer discovered eight separate vehicles had been broken into. Seven car windows were reported damaged from the break-ins.
Four vehicles were broken into in the parking lot of Franklin Bakery at 600 block of North Carolina Street early Saturday morning.
Windows of all the vehicles were reported as having been smashed out.
Two vehicles at a residence in the 100 block of South Georgia Avenue were broken into between Saturday and Sunday. Two $250 GPS units were reported stolen, and two passenger winders were reported damaged.
Between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. Sunday, someone broke into a vehicle at home in the 600 block of Sherard Court. According to the report, the vehicle's window was broken out, five CDs were stolen and the vehicle was ransacked.
Two vehicles at a home in the 200 block of Kennon Avenue were broken into between Saturday and Sunday.
The driver's side windows of each vehicle were broken causing $250 in damage to both vehicles. A $600 radio was reported stolen from one vehicle. The other vehicle reported nothing stolen.
Two vehicles at a home in the 600 block of Whitfield Drive were broken into between Saturday and Sunday.
The passenger's side window of each vehicle were broken causing $200 in damage to both vehicles. A $200 GPS was reported stolen from one vehicle.
A third vehicle was broken into the 600 block of Whitfield Drive. The breaking and entering occurred between 11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Saturday night. The vehicle suffered $250 in damage to a window.
A vehicle a residence in the 900 block of West Oak Street was broken into around 3:30 a.m. Saturday. The reported damage was $250 to a window.
