Wayne Memorial Hospital to help mothers improve parenting skills

Now that the kids are back in the classroom, moms are invited to sharpen their parenting skills.
A "Back-to-School Boot Camp" for mothers will be held at Wayne Memorial Hospital on Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m.
Continuing the hospital's "LiveWell Women" health series, it will feature interactive displays, chair massages and opportunities to meet some of the hospital's leading health experts.
Topics include dealing with bullies, backpack safety, healthy school lunch options and ideas for after school activities. There will also be information on the CHANGE for Children weight loss program and the hospital's Safe Sitter program.
The free event will be held in the hospital cafeteria. Registration begins at 5:15 p.m.
There will also be refreshments and door prizes.
The health series was created last year by the hospital to encourage women to live healthier lives and raise healthier families. Previous seminars have covered such topics as weight management and pertinent information for women over the age of 40.
