For those in Wayne County still without power, the Salvation Army is giving out free hot meals and water from its mobile feeding unit and will do so until power is restored.

For the rest of today until dark, the unit will be on Spence Avenue between Ash and Elm streets.

Lt. Kenny Igleheart, Salvation Army commander, said Tuesday the unit may be in a different location that also doesn't have power. He will make that decision later today.

The unit is a mobile kitchen where hot meals are prepared on the spot.

The Salvation Army is also giving out free cold meals at its building at 610 N. William St.

For the location of mobile feeding unit Tuesday, call the Salvation Army at 735-4811.

All Monday after-school activities also have been canceled for Wayne County Public Schools. A decision on Tuesday's after-school events will be announced later. All county schools were closed today because several still did not have power and because of storm debris as well.
