Man arrested in Fremont for killing sister, shooting father

FREMONT -- Rico Antonio Mitchell has been arrested and charged with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder after shooting his sister and father this morning at 134 Jasmine Lane, Fremont.
Wayne County Sheriff's Deputies responded this morning at approximately 7:30 a.m. to a report of shots fired. When they and Wayne County EMS personnel arrived, they found Cquashanda Laquan Mitchell, 19, and Robert Earl Mitchell, 56, shot. Ms. Mitchell was pronounced dead at the scene, while her father, Mitchell, was taken to the Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Deputies arrested Rico Antonio Mitchell at the scene and are not looking for any other suspects. He is being held at the Wayne County Detention Center without bond.
