Copper thefts
An air conditioning unit at a home in the 1400 block of Clingman Street realized $3,500 in damages during the theft of its copper components between June 22 and July 6. A neighbor told police she witnessed a man crouched down next to the unit at 11:30 on July 5 and called police. Before officers arrived, the man fled on a purple and blue bicycle.
The copper wire from a chicken house in the 1900 block of Rosewood Road was stolen between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 7:44 a.m. Wednesday. The value of the copper was listed at $800.
