Copper theft
A home in the 500 block of South Pineview Avenue was broken into sometime between June 11 and Wednesday, according to a police report. The unknown suspect(s) entered through an unsecured window. Once inside the suspect(s) took power cords from miscellaneous items in the home. The suspect(s) then went underneath the home through a crawl space and removed copper pipes listed at a value of $1,000. The report also states that $2,000 in damage was done to an HVAC unit while taking out copper components.
The homeowner had been away caring for her father, according to the report.
