Families are being sought in the Goldsboro area to serve as hosts for high school students from Spain and France.
Five students from Spain will be staying in eastern North Carolina between June 24 and July 23 and five high school students from France between June 18 and July 10 or between July 9 and Aug. 7.
These students, 14 to 18 years of age, are eager to experience the American family life for three to four weeks and to learn about America firsthand "from its citizens," to quote Alexis de Tocqueville.
Families need only to provide food and shelter and share their daily life and activities with the students while they share their culture and language. The foreign students also will have the opportunity to improve their English and understanding of the American lifestyle.
