Goldsboro hires new city manager

The Goldsboro City Council announced this afternoon that the position of city manager, vacant since February, will be filled by Kinston City Manager Scott Stevens.
After months of dealing with applications and interviews during closed session meetings, the council came out of a closed session Monday afternoon to announce its decision.
Stevens is still listed as the Kinston city manager according to Kinston's city website.
Former Assistant City Manager Tasha Logan had been filling in as interim city manager and will remain in that position until Stevens officially starts later this summer.
