A former employee of Andy's Burgers, Shakes & Fries restaurant has been charged in two incidents earlier this month of robbing current employees as they attempted to make nightly bank deposits.

Jeremy Andrew Jefferson, 21, of Mount Olive, was arrested Wednesday by Goldsboro police and charged with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Jefferson was found in his home in the 200 block of South Pointe Drive by Wayne County Sheriff's deputies, after he was identified, by name, by victims he, allegedly, robbed.

Evidence related to both robberies was recovered in a vehicle that was at the residence, according to a police document.

Jefferson is charged in a robbery reported on April 4 of an employee at Andy's on N.C. 111 South. The victim stated that as he closed the restaurant, he was attacked by a suspect who placed him in a choke hold and pointed a gun at his head. The suspect then demanded the bank deposit, which was handed over to him.

The second incident occurred on Tuesday around 11:20 p.m. when a suspect approached two Andy's employees from the Wayne Memorial Drive location as they arrived at New Century Bank on North Spence to complete a nightly bank deposit.

The victims stated to police that Jefferson walked out from behind nearby bushes, approached the driver's side door of their vehicle, pointed a gun and demanded money. The victims handed over  the deposit.

It appears that the victims were able to identify the suspect as Jefferson, despite the suspect wearing a hoodie and ski mask.

Jefferson is being held at the Wayne County Jail under a $150,000 secured bond.
