Central HS/EWHS alumni homecoming May 27-29

Central/Eastern Wayne Alumni & Friends will observe its 39th annual homecoming May 27-29. Central classes of 1941, 1951 and 1961 and the Eastern Wayne classes of 1971, 1981, 1991, 2001 and 2011 will be honored.
The banquet will be held on May 27 at the NCO Club at Seymour Johnson AFB at 7 p.m. Guest speaker will be Jacuenette Barnes Mitchell, a 1971 Eastern Wayne graduate and a teacher in the Wayne County Public Schools.
Tickets must be purchased by May 9, and required base information must be submitted. A hospitality hour will follow the banquet.
A Dutch breakfast will be held that Saturday at 9 a.m. at Madison's. The parade will follow at noon in the Central Heights community. Lineup will be held at 11 a.m. at Eastern Wayne Middle School. Entry forms are available.
A family picnic will be held at 1 p.m. at Eastern Wayne Middle School from 2-3:30 p.m. Tickets are $15. There will be games and activities for all ages. At 9 p.m. there will be a hospitality hour at LaGrange Frink Alumni Center. Tickets are $15.
The alumni chapter's award and gospel program will be held at Woods Chapel FWB Church Sunday at 5 p.m. Guest speaker will be Dr. Mathelle Kornegay Lee, retired counselor/administrator with Fairfax County (Va.) schools.
